Inspired by the theater’s crystalline ceiling and geometric patterns, the design reflects its Chicago Gothic style, with a color palette and typography that balance tradition and contemporary readability. The layout, with blocks and panels, mirrors the building’s steel structure and large windows, emphasizing its architectural significance.
User experience is central, featuring a sticky header, horizontally scrollable event sections, and interactive statistics highlighting the theater’s legacy. Historical imagery, a clickable timeline, and accessibility features like audio descriptions and visual aids create an inclusive, engaging experience that celebrates the Capitol’s heritage while enhancing its digital presence.
